The Boulder Fruit Tree Project Nurturing Boulder’s Trees, Vibrant Health, and Community Dear Friends, Apples, plums, peaches, pears, crab apples. Boulder neighborhoods are blessed with gorgeous fruit trees!! The mission of The Boulder Fruit Tree Project is to enhance the health of Boulder’s fruit trees and to maximize the healthy connections for the fruit they produce. Much of the fruit that grows in Boulder goes unpicked and uneaten. Our work is to get that fruit into the hands of the homeowners and the community. We pick the fruit from neighborhood trees as well as any fallen fruit. One third of what we pick goes to the tree owner, one third goes to those folks picking the fruit, and one third is donated to local organizations for the food insecure through Boulder Community Food Share and the Carriage House . We pick up any fallen fruit which we transport to Colorado Horse Rescue and the Wildlife Sanctuary. Any damaged fruit we deliver to Boulder Eco-Cycle where it’s composted We currently care for multiple tree owners and seventy Boulder fruit trees. We’d love to hear from you. 720.425.4454 We are here for you 9:00-6:00 Monday-Saturday. All the best, Shari Leyshon Harry S.
